Ho Kola. Got this to replace the hardback copy I had been given by my Grandfather (Nakota) in the 1970's that has continued its journey elsewhere. This book & "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee should be compulsory reading by H.S. Graduation in America. They define the Native American Culture and the Way of the People and the FIRST & TRUE American Genocide... the ONLY Indigenous Culture of North America & the ONLY Culture to be dwarfed and forgotten by the Imported Whiners that will-not/cannot fight to effect change in their own Homelands. The one that is omitted from our education & society; the one that Whites, Blacks, Latinos, Christians, Atheists, Soldiers & Citizens all contributed to but now do not even include in their rhetoric of injustice, slavery and genocide. Blacks the tribal culture that joined their former Masters (Buffalo Soldiers)in their genocide against us; yet now whining about their slavery and oppression here. If Buffalo Soldiers had been the ones killing Blacks the whole Nation would be in an up roar...WHAT HYPOCRISY! Blacks were even buried with Whites while Native Americans & Jews were buried together elsewhere...Jews are also a Tribal Culture...Hmmmmm. Condition was as described by seller..(only one lightly pencil marked short paragraph in entire book); and that was easily & completely removed. This could easily been missed or forgotten...So no foul or complaint intended.The package arrived early & well packed. I highly recommend this book & seller. I would have no hesitation in future transactions.

A beautiful book - sometimes disturbing and exceedingly sad, as it documents what happened to Native peoples at the hands of the settlers; treaties broken, massacres, etc. The author is a spellbinding storyteller and the illustrations - a series of earth-based mandalas, (I imagine these could be shield or drum paintings) are stunning. I originally saw the book and wanted it just for the illustrations - but then i started reading it and I could not put it down. Thoughtful, thought provoking, and very beautiful book with a lot of wisdom within its pages.

Read this book when it was first published decades ago; the pictures, symbols and their meanings are awe inspiring. Just gifted my niece with this book and await to hear from her. Both of my children have read this throughout the years and as with any book new insights are discovered. We discuss certain parts as well as being inspired by others.

One of my favourite books of all-time. Read the first edition in the early 1970s and have bought several used copies over the years through Amazon. The first 81 pages are remarkable.

I have read this book several times, starting probably in the 1960's or 70's, and have read it again once since. I gift this book to people for whom it seems it would be useful. So my review is difficult to describe withing the boxes presented. It is a very memorable book, and certainly complex, but at the same time, simple.Enjoy, and if you don't like it, pass it on!

This is the second copy I have owned. The first was on a higher quality paper. Still a good purchase.

For a gift and the person loved it as he lost his he had years ago. Great photos.

His fans says that he's a 'god of fighting game' but hardly anyone knows WHY. To be successful, you have to find your WHY and Daigo's WHY is explained.This book explains what others can see; the results, his accomplishments, etc. He downplays those to and explains why one should do the same. One thing that can be taken away from reading this is one should NEVER lose focus.Gamers and non-gamers can see how a WINNER keeps it up on a regular basis by reading this book. Well worth the purchase.

As to many autobiography , daig o provides insights influence and how he succeed and stayed on too .however the book is limited in details and he did not go into his personal life o struggles too much . There are too many repeat of hard work and learning from failure theme with scant details . Perhaps he is also younger which limit his life experience or he honestly spent time either gaming so could not offer as much insights . Overall it's a good read gives some new perspective but no depth

About the Author
Mike Thaler was born in Los Angeles in 1936. After moving to New York City, he started his professional career drawing cartoons for adults in 1960. A children's book editor saw one of these cartoons and encouraged Mike to write for children. Since then, Mike has written over 140 children’s books and has become known as America’s “Riddle King.” Mike says that writing and riddles are a powerful way to stimulate a child’s interest in learning and creating. He is an award-winning author and illustrator and has been called “one of the most creative people in children’s literature.” Mike currently lives in Canby, Oregon.

Jared Lee has illustrated more than 100 books for young readers. He has received awards from the Society of Illustrators, the Martha Kinney Cooper Ohioana Library Association, the National Cartoonists Society, and others. He lives in Ohio with his wife and a menagerie of dogs, cats, ponies, ducks, and a few unknown creatures.
